Delta Zeta's 7th Annual Turtle Trot 5k

A 5k race benefiting the Appalachian State University Communication Disorders Clinic

The Charles E. and Geneva S. Scott Scottish Rite Communication Disorders Clinic provides its services to children with language and reading disabilities regardless of their family’s inability to pay. They have also trained more than 1,600 speech-language pathologists and service providers throughout the state. The clinic is able to support these families and service providers in part because of Delta Zeta’s generous support.

Last year, we raised over $5,000 for the clinic and the families it assists! We'd like to thank all of our previous runners and sponsors for making Turtle Trot 2012 such a successful race!

Course:  The race will be held on April 6th at the Boone Greenway Trail. Due to trail construction, we will update the parking location closer to the race date. Chancellor Peacock will kick off the race at 10:00AM, but please be a little early to pick up your Race Packets and free T shirts! If you did not pre-register, you can register the day of the race at beginning at 9:00AM.

Course Map

Food, drinks, and entertainment will be provided to all runners and guests after the race.

Awards will be presented for fastest times after the race is complete.

Pricing:
Students and ASU Faculty-$12 in advance; $15 race day
Public-$15 in advance; $18 race day
Children under 12 years old-$7 in advance; $10 race day
Children under 5-Free

Entry Fees are non-refundable.  Registering by March 8th guarantees an event t-shirt.  Late registration shirts available while supplies last.
