Description: All races will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. The Individual Adult 5k run and the Adult Biathlon will start at 8:00am. The Kids Biathlon will start at approximately 11:00am after the completion of the Adult 5k and Biathlon.

Walk/Run: The 5k run course, whether run alone or as part of the biathlon, begins with one lap around Lincolnton Middle School, then continues Right onto Waters Rd, Left onto Rivers Rd, Left onto Hull-McGinnis Road (note:  this is a gravel road), Right onto Waters and then back to Lincolnton Middle School. The finish line is in the Lincolnton Middle School parking lot. Biathlon competitors will turn into the transition area to retrieve bike and start bike course.

Bike: The bike course is one 20 mile loop. The course includes some rolling hills and scenic views. Directions: Start from Lincolnton Middle School, Left on Waters Rd, Right onto Startown Rd, Right onto Reepsville Rd, Right onto Killian Rd (Hwy. 1007), Right onto Blackburn Bridge Rd, Right onto Startown Rd, Right on Waters Rd to finish line at Lincolnton Middle School. ANSI-certified helmets are required.

Kids Biathlon: All kids’ courses will be on the Lincolnton Middle School campus. There will be 3 age groups for the Kids Biathlon, ages 4-6 yrs, 7-9 yrs, and 10-12 yrs old. Kids’ courses are non-competitive courses designed to promote health and well-being. The courses are a simple 1 lap run followed by a 1 lap bike on the same course (varies in length depending on age group). ANSI-certified helmets are required.

Packet Pickup:

1)      Saturday, May 19^th, 2012 at 6:00am-7:30am @ Lincolnton Middle School. Race begins at 8am. All entrants must have registered and received their race number by 7:30 a.m.

2)      Kids Biathlon registration Saturday, May 19^th, 2012 9:00am-10:30am

Age Divisions: 

There will be an overall male and female winner for the 5k and the Biathlon.

Affiliated Charities: This event benefits North Brook Elementary School technology department and the Lincolnton Tri & Multisport Club Active Family Financial Assistance Program.

Refunds/Weather Policy:  There will be no refunds issued for this event.  In case of inclement weather, the race will be postponed until 8:45am in hopes the weather will pass.  If inclement weather does not pass by 8:45am, the event will be cancelled on Saturday.  No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled.  Every effort will be made to make sure the event takes place, however due to expenses that must be paid upfront, we cannot offer refunds due to inclement weather.
