Race for RARE 5k/10 Mile Trail Race

Distance:  5k and 10 Mile

Mission:  To raise awareness for the rare disease community.  Rare disease affects approximately 75 million people in the US, 75% of those are children.  1 in 10 Americans are affected.  Race for RARE benefits the Joubert Syndrome and Related Disorders Foundation.  JS is a rare disease affecting approx. 350 people in the US and 650 worldwide. 

Course:  The topography has few flat areas so you are always either ascending or descending!  Lots of benched hillside trail, single track with plenty of twists and turns.

Timing System:  Chip timing will be provided by Racing Toes.

Packet Pick-up:
Friday, February 22nd from 4-6pm at George Poston Park and race day by 8am.  Early packet pickup encouraged.

Awards:  Awards for overall male and female, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group for both the 5k and 10 mile races.
