5th Annual Stanley Creek Massacre 5k/10k Run

Gaston County Parks and Recreation will sponsor the Fifth Annual Stanley Creek Massacre 5k and 10k race on September 28th, 2013 in downtown Stanley.  This was is called the Stanley Creek Massacre for a good reason!  This race provides a great opportunity to runners to enjoy a more hilly/challenging experience than many races provide.  That being said don't let the name scare you off, it's all in good fun. 

Come run the rural hills of Gaston County!  Runners will receive T-shirts and awards for the overall male/female in both races and the top 3 male/female finishes in all age groups.  The race will start at 8:00am and we ask that you be checked in my 7:45am.  After the race, you are invited to stay for the Town of Stanley's Country Fest. 

Race registration is $20 by September 21st, after that the cost is $25.  Race day registration is available.
